A Comprehensive and Flexible Self-study and Facilitator Guide and Program
This is Me is designed for self-guided learning, but can also be used as part of a facilitator program. The guidebook is structured to teach the core principles relating to FASD and to use the interactive software with workbook-based exercises designed to assist participants explore their understanding of primary and secondary characteristics of FASD.
The activities section of the guide will help participants identify strengths and characteristics demonstrated by Me, and provide discussion topics and exercises to help stimulate participant creativity in developing accommodations for adapting environments.
What Does the Package include?
The This is Me package consists of a printed manual and an accompanying CD-ROM containing an interactive program that illustrates typical behaviours and strategies for people affected by FASD.
The This is Me interactive CD-ROM program uses Me an animated character affected by FASD and his classmates, teacher, coach and father in a range of common social scenarios that demonstrate typical behaviours and strategies to work with them.

A Powerful Tool Benefiting Many Disciplines
This is Me was initially created as a visual approach to provide information to help young people affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder understand themselves and their situations. The project has evolved and expanded to provide a useful aid to help others working with people affected by FASD gain a better understanding of the disability.
About the Development Team
The This Is Me development team is an interdisciplinary group of parents and professionals with backgrounds in medicine, health care, social work, education and justice who have brought together their knowledge and vast experience to produce This is Me as a concise, coordinated learning program.
