t is a simple, but comprehensive tool to help facilitators and professionals better understand people affected by FASD and assist them in functioning at optimal levels in society.
A Visual Approach and Effective Tool
This is Me was initially created to provide a visual approach to providing information to young people affected by FASD. The project grew to provide a visual aid to help others impacted by FASD gain a better understanding of the disability.
While there is no cure for FASD, it is hoped This is Me is an effective tool for reducing confusion and increasing understanding through identification of primary and secondary behaviors, with a deeper appreciation of the strengths of people with FASD and effective strategies for improving their outlook and quality of life.
